Who can help re How to defer Property Taxes?
I need help. I don’t know who to even ask. Value of home not what I can get. Barely making mortgage. Good mortgage. Financial Problems along with rest of country. Cannot pay property Taxes. You need to appeal the assessed valuation of your home, should have done this earlier. Attorneys will do it for you for a percentage of what they save you, but you can do it yourself. Go to your township office to get appeal for county taxes. Some are very helpful.
Not aware of any forbearance or deferral of property taxes, and after a set time of not paying, they sell for back taxes. So pay as much as you can on taxes, don’t get too far behind on them.
