
What happens when you forclose on your house and you have not paid the property taxes?
I’m in California and about to foreclose on my house. I still haven’t even paid the property taxes that were due in April. Will my paycheck be garnished for the taxes due on this house?
You still owe the taxes- you know the old saying, the only sure things in life are death and taxes. They will only garnish your check as a last resort. Try to work out a payment plan with the city first.
