property taxes chicago
why do we have the highest prices in chicago when it comes to everyhting!!! taxes, gas, and houses?

i mean gosh, that really sucks if you live in chicago like I do. Lots of people are loosing their homes, gas just keeps going up in price (which is what affects me the most) and now we have higher taxes on purchases, as well as property taxes.
ok people, i get the fact that others might have higher prices, however, this isn’t about the cost of living. Its about these things happening under the table, meaning they happen because there is no one who can stand up and regulate or object to these changes.

That’s the price we pay for being a Blue State. Lower taxing states get all the growth, and those are Red ones. If you don’t have growth, then you have to tax the ones who are left more.
The problem is that there are no political checks and balances when one party wins all the elections. What did you think was going to happen?
