I recently moved from Kansas City, MO to Florida and I just got a personal property tax bill for my car. What happens if I don’t pay it since I no longer live in Missouri?

MO will go after you for this. If you lived in MO and owned this vehicle on 1/1/07, you owe the tax and must pay it.

They can suspend your right to operate if you don’t pay it. That will suspend your license nationwide. You could be in for a rude shock if you’re stopped by the police.
